What are indexed pages?

Know which scanned knowledge pages count toward your plan — and which do not.

Pages from your website that Amevia may use when answering visitor questions.

Think of indexed pages as retained knowledge slots — not every URL the crawler touches. Failed fetches, unpublished drafts and pages you remove from Knowledge stop counting once they are gone from approved knowledge.

See what counts

  1. Open Knowledge for a website after a completed scan
  2. Published or approved pages that stay in knowledge consume indexed page entitlement
  3. Pages that failed import or were never published do not use the same slot
  4. Check plan usage in Billing or Pricing context when you approach the cap

Stay under the cap

  1. Publish only pages you want the agent to quote — skip thin stubs and duplicates
  2. Remove obsolete Knowledge entries after site redesigns
  3. Re-scan after major content changes so counts reflect what you still need

Common surprises

  • Large blogs or catalogs can jump page count quickly — prioritize core pages first
  • Missing pages from a scan do not free slots; they were never indexed
  • Need more headroom — upgrade or read Custom plans
